Athletic Director & PE
Munib Mootassem is the Athletic Director at The Piedmont School & John Yowell Academy, where he has been an integral part of the Athletics, Health & Physical Education programs since 2015. With a passion for sports and physical activity, he is dedicated to teaching and coaching our youth.
Coach Mootassem holds a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology from The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and has 12 years of experience in education and coaching. He is Licensed and certified to teach grades K-12th Health & Physical Education. Coach has his commercial driver's license and is a certified Red Cross CPR/First Aid/AED instructor.
Coach Mootassem is a proud supporter of the North Carolina Tarheels & Carolina Panthers along with other local sports teams like the Carolina Core Soccer & High Point Rockers Baseball teams.
Coach Mootassem is committed to helping students achieve their goals by creating a positive learning environment and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Coach Mootassem believes all students should be given the opportunity to participate and engage in sports and physical activities as it builds confidence and creates a since of belonging.
