Available Positions

High School Science Teacher

The John Yowell Academy at The Piedmont School is seeking a full-time, 10-month, high school science teacher for the 2019-2020 school year beginning in August. The ideal candidate would have experience teaching biology, physical science, and earth/environmental sciences in grade levels 9-12. 


  • Bachelor's Degree in Education required (Master's degree preferred)
  • 3-5 years of teaching experience preferred
  • Experience working with students with attention deficits or learning differences preferred 
  • Current NC teaching license required
  • Dedication and passion for helping students succeed and the ability to adapt modes of instruction for different learning styles
  • Familiarity with classroom technology and assistive technology is helpful
