Kathy Bull

Kathy Bull is a seasoned nonprofit executive and development leader with more than 25 years of experience building organizations, developing strategic partnerships, and securing philanthropic support. She has helped raise more than $100 million for organizations serving children, families, veterans, and other underserved communities, including through major corporate and foundation partnerships and  individual giving relationships. 

As Advancement Director for The Piedmont School & John Yowell Academy, Kathy is building the school’s first comprehensive development program and leading its philanthropic growth and capital campaign. Her executive experience includes serving as Chief Development and Marketing Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Operations Officer, and Chief Executive Officer, as well as VP, Lobbyist and other senior leadership roles in Development and Marketing with the USO of North Carolina and USO Global and the COO /Lobbyist for the NC Zoo Society. 

Kathy is passionate about connecting people and organizations around causes that make a meaningful difference. Throughout her career, she has built lasting relationships with business leaders, philanthropists, community partners, government agencies, and nonprofit organizations. She is also President of Transformational Insights, a nonprofit consulting firm. 

A longtime High Point resident, Kathy is an avid fitness enthusiast, public speaker, writer, and advocate for servant leadership and mentoring. She is a proud grandparent who loves spending time with family, her “furbabies,” and just about any wildlife she encounters. She also enjoys giving back to the community and helping organizations turn good ideas into meaningful impact.
